On Greenwich Avenue in West Village there is a small restaurant called Good and so far the food has been just that: Good! And that the staff is very friendly and given us great service is of course another reason why I think this place is Good!
Last Friday my friend and I went to Good for lunch. As it was a late lunch we were quite hungry so started with some appetizers. The warm dates stuffed with goat cheese, wrapped in bacon served with pimento sauce were juicy with that crisp bacon adding the right saltiness to the sweet dates.
And then we couldn’t resist their bag of house-made potato chips served with a caramelized onion dip. The dip was to die for! So yummy! Have to try to copy that and make at home as it could be so good to so many things!
For main course we both ordered the Provencal Lamb Burger served on a brioche bun with caper aioli, sundried tomato, grilled red onion, arugula and chickpea fries. Those fries were so crisp and for me it was a first time having chickpea fries. Really a big hit! And yes we for sure took some of that caramelized onion dip for those chickpea fries!
I’ll definitely be back for more at Good.
