It starts to get colder here in NYC and I must say I look forward to eating soup again. I love the fall when coming back home from a walk, sit down and enjoy a warm soup. And as during this time of the year the root vegetables are really nice I made a carrot and potato soup.

I went by my local farmers market and picked up some white carrots. Of course you can make this soup with any kind of carrots. I just picked these for this soup for keeping the color to white-yellowish.

Fresh grated nutmeg is always the best but if you don’t have a nutmeg on hand to grate just use the store bought ground nutmeg.
