Now it is 4th of Advent!
Here is the 4th and last part of the traditional Swedish Advent poem:
“När fjärde ljuset brinner,
vi hämtar julegran
och alla barnen räknar
dan före dan före dopparedan”
When the fourth candle is burning we pick up the Christmas tree and all children are counting the days to dipping day (The dipping day is another name for Christmas we we dip bread in the bouillon from our Christmas ham)
I’m very happy that I can celebrate this one with my parents as yesterday I went down to Florida. My mom has decorate the house and even if it is warm and nice outside the Christmas feeling is here, indoors!
And yes so even if here is 22 degrees we drink our hot glögg (glühewine/mulled wine)! And now you can see the traditional Swedish small glögg cups! Yes, mom keeps the tradition alive even after almost 20 years in USA!
Happy 4th of advent!
Remember Life is too short to not eat and drink well!
