Today Thursday it is Thanksgiving in USA. I’m not American, but I will take this opportunity to be thankful for my loving family and my friends.

Moving from country to country is stressful and finding a new social life is always a challenge. But I’ve had the fortune to find great friends everywhere I lived and for that I’m very thankful! So to both my family and my friends THANK YOU for being there, support me and give me much joy!

Of some reason thinking of friends makes me think of chocolate! So for this Friday my dinner tip is a grilled beef tenderloin with a rich and lovely red-wine sauce flavored with chocolate. I use chocolate with chili but you can of course use regular chocolate. I feel the chili-chocolate gives the sauce an extra edge but it is of course up to you!

This sauce is great to most kind of steaks so the beef tenderloin can be exchanged for entrecôte (rib-eye). Serving to the dish I have made a potato cake. An easy and lighter variant instead of pomme au gratin. The potato cake is often called Pommes Anna.
