This last Saturday I was invited to a roof top BBQ here in Toronto. As I don’t have the ability to grill where I live, neither did I have that possibility when I lived in the Netherlands I got all crazy for this opportunity. There was so much I wanted to do on the grill!

After some debate with myself I decided to do a Surf & Turf on the grill! Do I have to say it was yummy! (Of course it helped that it was a great price on the lobster)

I always make my own marinade for the meat: oil, soy sauce, garlic, honey, salt and pepper and my secrete ingredient a tablespoon or so of whiskey or bourbon. I guess it is not a secrete any more! The lobster tail though I just had some oil with pressed garlic on. And then only grilled the meat side of the lobster tail.

To accompany my Surf & Turf I made grilled baked potato, corn on the cob and tzatziki. The last one had a lot of garlic so I had to tell everyone else to take of it too or I would have been the only one with garlic breath!
And the hostesses had made very lovely salads so I got some more veggies!

Remember Life is too short to not eat and drink well!
